Anybody watched the first 2 episodes yet ? Spoiler free thoughts please...

8.5/10. Solid Season Premiere, picks up right where Season 5 ended, but lacks the excitement of episodes towards the end of the season of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, even though the events are unpredictable to the viewer, the way they handle season's arc does feel a bit formulaic.

There is some more development into the Saul Goodman we got to meet in Breaking Bad.

Not a lot of surprises or twists... but they did keep moving the story forward, Jimmy's antics... some really tense moments halfway through 6x02.

All characters are back... Jimmy, Kim, Mike, Lalo, Nacho, Gus, Hector, Howard, etc.

They released 6x01 and 6x02 so you are getting 2 episodes.

The first episode was actually kind of disappointing and poor for the shows standards, but the second one was great. Pretty good start to the season for the most part, but with a few things that may cause concern.

I'd say like

Episode 1 - 7/10
Episode 2 - 9/10

I'd really recommend avoiding the internet until you see them though, just in case.

Mostly solid viewings but two major concerns/disappointments about the previous season finale are spilling into this issue.

#1 It was so out of character for Gus, a character by his intelligence and patience would stupidly order such a brazen assassination attempt on Lalo in the midst of their feuding, which would make him an obvious suspect, and compounding that stupidity 10 fold by putting Nacho in the middle of it at the last minute, when he wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place. Needlessly blowing the cover of a valuable double agent & with the high chance of being captured & interrogated for compromising information. All so he can unlock a simple gate for your incompetent hit squad?

#2 Set up for boring Kim centric B blot. A character I feel should have exited the show 2 seasons ago.

Just glad to see again my favorite bad girl, Betsy Kettleman.

They are getting rave reviews everywhere but I think people are getting carried away because of the show reputation. I didn't find them THAT interesting to look forward for the rest of the season.
