I think its the first time they did a fast forward directly into Breaking bad. That was a weird choice. Moreover, I really did not see the point with this particular episode

The two narratives are starting to connect. What’s happening now will have a direct bearing on what happens then. Not just the stuff we saw happening in BB, but all the stuff Saul was doing that we didn’t get to witness back then.

It was contrast. That episode of BrBa was the end of Saul's career as a lawyer. This episode had him meeting with his PPD officer saying in ten months he was going to have a new law office and be the best most well known lawyer. Bravo Vince.
