It feels like Jimmy has taken a bit of a backseat in his own show the last few episodes

Especially in episode 4. Very cartel centric.

He answered his phone, shaved, made a call, set up his new store, bounced a ball off the wall, took a break, got some illicit money, got inspired, painted a promo on his store front and looked at it with a sense of promise.
I watched with great interest. But I miss his adventures with Tuco and the Bearded Biznatch Brothers.

Lol Bearded Biznatch Brothers. Yeah me too, they were great. Wonder if we'll ever see them again.

Reckon Jimmy will be fired for his window painting?

reply

I doubt those brothers are still alive. They can't go five minutes without pissing someone off.

Honestly, at this point, why should we care if he gets fired or not?

reply

I must have forgotten but who are the bearded biznatch brothers?

reply

They are 2 young bearded brothers - probably twins - who live in Albuquerque.
Between them, they might (but probably don't) have the sense that God gave sea cucumber.

They do, however, have a knack for conning people and are skilled on skateboards. The combine these to cheat motorists by faking accidents.
Jimmy was one such motorist. But a con know a con, so he decided to call them out on their illicit behavior and recruit them for a job by faking an accident with the wife of a client Jimmy was after.
But these 2 morons skated out in front of the wrong car. The elderly lady inside just drove off in a panic. The 2 idiots followed her to her home, telling Jimmy that they don't need him anymore.

Then they went inside to confront her. As fortune would have it... the elderly lady was a grandmother... Tuco Salamanca's grandmother.

They tried to squeeze Tuco for cash and called his grandmother an "old biznatch."
Tuco, it turns out, does not appreciate people calling his grandmother a "biznatch," or as he put it... "BIZNATCH!!!"
Tuco, as it further turns out, is also a homicidal maniac and connected to the Mexican drug cartels.

Meanwhile, Jimmy shows up at the house, is kidnapped by Tuco and is taken, along with the Bearded Biznatch Brothers, to the desert for an afternoon of murder and disposal.

But, having a glib gift for the gab, Jimmy is able to argue some fancy lawyering and convince Tuco to let the two numbnuts off with a lighter sentence.
A placated and mercifully lenient Tuco then proceeds to break their legs.

Jimmy then takes the Bearded Biznatch Brothers - both in agonizing pain - to the hospital. They consider him a terrible lawyer for getting them a broken-leg sentence. He considers himself a great lawyer having commuted their sentence down from the death penalty. It seems like these idiots have learned nothing and will continue cheating and insulting people until they get killed one day.

Good times, man. Good times.

What makes you think that?

reply

I really got that sense when he took them to the hospital. Yes, they were in pain and all that, but still... the fact that they didn't seem to realize how they messed up and how Jimmy saved them, plus the way they insulted him (like they always insult people... I don't think they learned much from the ordeal.
They might have some time to ruminate when their legs heal up. But, if they ever skate again, they'll probably go back to being the jerks they've always been.

Yeah, he's been boring all season. I'm sure it will change eventually but it's not playing the way showrunners hope.
