This may just be an oversight on the writer's part when tying Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul together, but I am confused as to when exactly Gus met Don Eladio. In BB we see Gus and his chemist partner first meet Eladio to set up initial dealings with the cartel, but in BCS we see Hector, Bursa and Eladio discussing a new cook that is already making meth money for the cartel that Eladio has not yet met. Bursa says Gus wants to meet him and Eladio says that he should just keep doing what he's doing.
The scene in B/B where Gus and partner meet Eladio and Hector for the first time to create a business arrangement, was a flashback well before the timeline of BCS. It didn't go well for Gus's partner, which was the foundation for Gus's extreme hatred for Hector. In a recent episode, Gus to Mike about Hector: "a bullet to the head would be far too humane".
This might even be the same flashback where the bad-ass twins were little kids. Hector threatens to drown one of them in the beer cooler water, because the other one wishes he were dead. If not the same flashback, at least about the same timespan. Mub
This was a huge scene. It shows why Gus wants Hector for himself. The part I'm waiting for is how Hector gets disabled. I think he had a stroke, but there may be things that lead up to it. He needs to suffer mightily.
Maybe others think Gus is worse because he's a good businessman, but deals drugs in order to satisfy his greed and is more a hypocrite. I think Hector is more vicious.
spoilers for S3 E6
[spoiler]
They show Nacho watching Hector take some pills and hector drops one. Nacho finds it and saves it. it's the kind of capsule you can open and refill.
I think he's going to put some kind of poison in that capsule and then sneak it back into Hector's pill bottle.
So my prediction is Nacho causes hector's stroke.

Right I understand. The part I was confused about is in BCS where it shows hector, bursa, and eladio meeting. It sounded like it implied that eladio and gus have not yet met, but maybe I misinterpreted what they were saying about gus paying respects to eladio.
