Plus factor in that none of the absentee ballots were ever counted since there was no contentions, so I'm guessing a higher percentage of those would have been votes for Trump since a lot of overseas military votes were never counted.

Yeah, people will forget about this soon enough. I rolled my eyes when I saw that Odenkirk participated in the ad, because it was ridiculous to me; but I assume that I don't share political views with most of Hollywood, so I don't care. I'd never be able to watch anything if I had to make sure that I agree with the political opinions of everyone involved in the creation of a show or a movie I want to see.
Very few people will still be thinking about this when BCS returns. And anyone who is still thinking about it should probably just sell their television.

That said, the whole 'popular vote' argument is so, so weak. Both Clinton and Trump campaigned to win the electoral votes. Had the popular vote been the prize, they would have used radically different strategies, used their energy and money on different states, and Trump might still have won anyway.
