Decent Movie, Poor Ending. *Spoilers*

I thought it was a good movie, except for the ending.

I think Jericho should have died saving Jill and Emma. He should have lost the last remaining memories of Bill Pope’s life as he was driving to the airport. Jill and Emma were Jericho’s best memories too, and the only kindness he's ever experienced. So Jericho dies doing the first selfless act of his life. You can still have a happy ending where the protagonist dies. Every movie doesn’t need a sappy “Hollywood ending”.

Here is was thinking it was about time a movie had a positive ending. But then again I mostly watch horror, lol

That's how I thought the movie was going to end, and I'm sure the writers considered it. But it makes no difference to me. Either ending would've been fine. But with this one, I would be curious as to his future relationshp with Jill.

Me too. Dying to save them would have been a great ending, showing that he had learned to care about (at least some) people.

I fear they only kept him alive so they could make a sequel, which ain't gonna happen.

A prequel about Jericho would be very cool though.

Awful movie, ridiculous ending.

I thought Jericho would die as well. Perhaps the one clue to his surviving was Emma. Her father just died and the producers did not want to have a little girl who just lost her father go through another bad experience. I do think Jericho will be able to have a relationship with Jill and Emma ( the touch of the nose was a clue to this). I do not think he will work for the CIA again ( Gary Oldman saying "They ( Jill & Emma) do not matter." Is why. Instead, he will take the money ( he was promised that), and use it to build a life with Jill and Emma.
