censored / blurred out faces...

anyone else notice the scene when the ambulances arrived at the university at ~1hr 32m (just after jericho had beaten to death the lovely elsa)

there are two blurs used to hide either faces and/or details - i rarely if ever have seen that in a film (where it wasn't obviously deliberately part of the movie)

wonder why that was?

They probably filmed those scenes on location without actually cordoning off/disrupting the area and didn't get releases from those people caught on camera while walking through the scene. I suppose blurring out those face was the cheap alternative to replacing/removing those people with CGI.

filming in the public domain does not require permission from businesses or people in public unless the storyline/use can be damaging to them.

for example: one doesn't have to consult mcdonald's every time one of their signs is caught on camera, but one cannot allude to the sign falling and harming someone.

I just checked this scene and there aren't things blurred out, the shot is from behind a piece of glass that has little white circles along it, so the out of focus circles are what's in the foreground of the shot.

I rewatched these scenes. The shots with the blurred faces are so brief that I assumed there was just something in front of camera.
