Wouldn't the military get involved? I mean seriously,
if someone has the launch code to all of america's nuke arsenal, and they are tracking him using helicopter - would they be only using ONE small chopper?
The miliary would be flying ALL of their Apache gunships and Cobras in the air and the bad guys wouldn't get their plane off the ground.
They have no jurisdiction in the UK without permission.

In any semblance of real life, the RAF would have been running patrols around London and would have been ready to do whatever was necessary to keep Heimdal or the Russians from leaving with the Wormhole. Jericho's ambulance would have been blown to bits. If not, then Heimdal's plane would have as soon as it took off.
In fact, they might have even considered nuking London to save the world.
