Just didn't seem right! Did they spend the whole budget on the cast? I will wouldn't have liked this film if it was set in America but it would've made more sense than London.

Btw, I'm a brit so I'm not biased!

Being set in the UK made it watchable for me.

Spotting supporting cast members and trying to remember if it was Eastenders or Casualty I'd seen them in.

Two words: tax breaks! :P

Not that I'm complaining. I was an extra in this film; you can see me in the scene where Costner stops the van in front of Jones and intimidates him a little. Had a fun day out.

Well, plot-wise they needed a location where both Heimdal and the Russians would have a realistic opportunity to escape with the Wormhole program. No US location would have worked, and many other locations would run into issues of language (i.e. being unrealistic that all the characters would speak English)
