With Olive being Olive ...
she'd most likely have RUSHED him to the hospital or else she'd have called someone else to come get him and RUSH him there.
Because basically she's also just like HENRY and has to help anyone that she finds in DISTRESS (the same way as she said HENRY had to help every little MOUSE that he found in Distress).
So Jack would also have survived if he told Olive he'd done this.

Henry's the one who seems to have gotten what he deserved when he has the STROKE.
Olive, on the other hand, is SAVED by the kids in the woods who keep her from killing herself.
So it's as if KARMA saves OLIVE for saving KEVIN, whereas KARMA punished HENRY for shoving O'CASEY out of OLIVE's life (which also keeps her from checking up on Kevin's Mom anymore and leads to her suicide).
So maybe Henry lays there for 4 YEARS in a veggie state as a pay back for the EXITS of Jim and Kevin's Mom???
