I know it's a drama but holy s**t ... in the first 80 minutes - -
- - we had 4 deaths, another near-death accident, 2 suicides, and 2 attempted suicides.

shareGo Greek or go home.
shareSuch is life, and death..
shareAgreed! Tragedies happen anywhere, even in small, scenic villages, but even the nasty big city the same two people don't have everyone they know killing themselves, or nearly killing themselves, or dying in accidents, or dropping dead in front of them or in their arms, and being held at gunpoint by crazed dope-fiends. It's like a daytime soap opera where are all major events keep happening to the same people.
Doctors have people die on them quite often, but pharmacists? I never realized pharmacy was such a high-risk profession. I guess if the author took out even half of that stuff, it would be just too dull for anyone to read (or watch).
I think there is more untreated mental illness in small towns.
shareThe series takes place over 25 years. So that's 4 deaths, an accident, 2 suicides, and 2 attempted suicides in around 10 years. Sounds about right to me.
shareIt wasnt wise to air this over Christmas. Suicide season.

The start was the best, I laughed during this series. Nice black dramedy. Or the script was meant as pure drama but it was so bad that made me laugh. I mean, the script, in any case, is the weaker part, acting is very good and that saved this series.
6/10 stars.
Series in general are way overrated in IMDb, like people only use 5-10 star scale to rate series, where 7-8 stars is meant for average/ok series, but movies are rated on 1-10 scale, and average/ok movies would get about 5 stars only. I've seen it many times here. It always makes me laugh and shake my head when I read reviews of episodes where the reviewer drops all kinds of problems and faults of the ep but then gives 8 stars, and it happens so often, it's ridiculous and it generally doesn't happen with movies.
