Overkill on the sex, bodice ripping, and rape scenes

The honeymoon episode of Jamie and Claire spent half the show on them having sex. It seems every show after that has a long, drawn out sex scene/s. Plus a lot of bodice ripping scenes. Reminds me of the cheesy Fabio paperback romance books which were all the rage once with the supermarket book club types.

Only Season 1. After that, there is some sex, but not nearly as much. Some people complain that there isn't enough sex, but I prefer it when there's more story.

Thanks, I kind of gave up on the show because of all the romance novel cheesiness but I liked the story. I will tolerate the rest of S1 then try S2.

Well ... the last two episodes of Season 1 might test your resolve. But after that it's much better.

Ok got there annndddd I’m out. That was beyond gratuitous sexual violence. I get that this is part of the story arc but why such graphic staging. Beyond that I am annoyed that the time-travel/1948 storyline got ignored for the last half of the season.

I can't say I blame you about the last two episodes. I thought that was beyond extreme!

The Season premier for Season 2 begins in the 1940's, and we spend a good deal of Season 2 wondering how it all fits together. The time travel aspect is essential to the story.

Still, I totally get why you might not be interested in continuing.
