Thye could have done it in John Grey's room and it would be scandalous if any of the guests saw them so pretty sure the thrill isnt worth the risk.

Yes, you are right it would be very scandalous and I imagine that is why they didn’t go to his room. But still they should have found some better place to have sex.
I think it would be beyond scandalous if discovered by the wrong person, which is anybody with the guts to call out Lord Grey on it.
