Safe Reading to Avoid Show Spoilers

My wife and I just got Starz and binge watched to the current episode. And may I say the only drawback to binge watching is when you get to the point of having to wait for new episodes. But I digress.

I have looked up the briefest synopsis for the books and it looks like the first 3 are safe to read at this point in the show, and the fourth will be safe at the end of the current season. Would my assumptions be correct?

That seems to be the case so far. The books keep getting longer, and I have heard talk of them rearranging some of the events in books 5 and 6, but who knows. You could definitely read the first 3 books.
