His win is well deserved
say what you will, but his performance drove this movie, and being attached to a company that helps support people diagnosed with ALS, he did it justice and I'm happy he won.

shareI agree, he was brilliant. I don't care who he was up against, because I don't believe performances should be ranked - you're either, good, average or bad, but it's nonsense to pit several good people against one another - but his portrayal was excellent.
"Your mother puts license plates in your underwear? How do you sit?!"
Just got done watching it, and I agree. My boy Eddie did that thing.
He also seems like the nicest guy in general too, so I'm glad for any success that comes his way.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. I think the film baited the Oscar votes and managed to win, there was no emotional punch to his performance at all and it felt very by the numbers.

Death is the standard breach for a complex prize.
Do you know all much about ALS disease? Because I have family that work with ALS patients that I've become friends with. And I can tell you that Redmayne's performance was NOT by the numbers.
