One flaw no one brings up about this movie...
If this Superman is willing to kill, why doesn't he just kill Lex?
shareIf this Superman is willing to kill, why doesn't he just kill Lex?
shareHe is not willing to kill
Still, he could have knocked down Lex both times
He's not willing to kill?
There's a warlord smeared across several walls that would beg to differ.
It’s implied he didn’t kill him.
shareNo. He did kill him cause he had to. Zod made it clear that as long as he lived he would kill every person on Earth as revenge for Clark choosing Earth over Krypton. There was no way he was going to allow anyone to lock him up or that Kal El was going to come up with a way to disable him without killing him. Also Lex is different cause he's human and also a leader of the people. Nobody would believe Superman and Lois Lane that he kidnapped his mom. Just like how in the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the Superman 90s cartoon nobody would believe that Lex made a deal with a terrorist.
shareI was referring to the warlord. The dialogue between Clark and Lois implied that he wasn’t responsible for anyone’s death during the scene in Africa.
shareSo was I. And i’m Sorry...how many walls did Superman fly that guy through?
shareI was replying to the other person who brought up Zod.
Also, back in the days of the old IMDb, I believe I recall seeing a slowed down video of that scene where it looked like Superman actually flew backwards while holding that guy. The film probably should’ve made it clear that the guy wasn’t killed, but it seems like the implication is supposed to be that Superman didn’t kill him.
Superman didn't kill him, we don't know if that warlord's body was affected directly by the impact of the walls, or Superman's arm acted as a shield.
Plus, Clark himself says he didn't kill any of those men, so...
