She'd heard the song several times throughout the night, so she'd know it.
While the ending is incredibly open, I see it--personally--as her following her dad's (if it WAS her dad) advice; whatever it takes.
She can't stop them if she's dead-dead. But maybe if she joins them, she can keep fighting.
I dunno man, it's a stretch, but if I don't believe that then the ending is way too bleak for my tastes.
