Sargent Cohen
So, what was the deal with her Sgt.? At the beginning of the movie he was having a hissy fit: swearing, kicking lockers, and shouting. What was that about?

shareWell remember that they knew the place was haunted hence why they moved to another station, the demons were messing with him and that's why he said to officer Loren at the beginning to turn around so he can see the back of her head, because he wanted to make sure she wasn't some trick and have her head blown out or something like officer price.
shareAhh, thank you, erfan-afshar. Did not make that obvious connection. Usually, I am pretty good with that, but that part just mystified me!
if he'd been experiencing it too, why was he such a dick to her when she called him and said she was seeing things?

i SAID good day, sir!
I think there was more going on with the Sgt that the writer and director didn't fully address. It didn't make sense for him to be experiencing everything Loren did and just leave her alone. He had to know she would die or he was sacrificing her to the ghosts.
Or it was just bad writing. It's so hard to tell with horror movies when it's lazy writing or there was more story they didn't get to tell for whatever reason.
I'd be willing to bet money that in order to get the screen play down to a certain number of pages certain things was just left out.
It may not make sense to the average person but script length determines budget size etc. So it probably wasn't that the writer was lazy he just have to make some sacrifices to keep this film about 90 minutes.
Never thought of the turning around in that respect. Like Invaders From Mars.
