Inquiry about the hazmat guys

How did they get into a locked police station. Surely they don't have keys. Maybe I missed something. Just wondering........

I thought this was a good movie. Better than most of the horror crap I watch on Netflix. The acting was good, and the suspense was there. I was really impressed with Natalie Victoria (Marigold the prostitute). She was very convincing in her little 5 minutes of screentime. Some really good acting right there.

The writing and directing were good. I hate horror movies that take forever to get going. This one moved at a good pace. You could feel the tension. I was disappointed in the end, though. I'm not sure what to make of it. The writing seemed kinda smart so I was surprised at such the slight ambiguous ending.

Did I miss who the homeless guy was? Was there a reason he was rummaging through police files? And how did he get back in?

Well remember that those spirits could manipulate physical objects and open and close doors, etc. So they probably opened up the doors for them to let them in, just like they locked her inside.

There's also the possibility that she was crazy or that the spirits were manipulating her mind only. If so, then she did all that stuff herself, and, naturally, wouldn't let herself out of the station.

The homeless guy I think was just that, a homeless dude just drunk and was at the wrong place At the wrong time.

The homeless dude was one of the most interesting things about the whole damn movie (the blonde hooker was the second). Nobody who watched the movie knows what his connection to the story was about. It makes me laugh when I think about it. It also makes me laugh when I think that nobody involved with the making of the movie (including the screenwriter, as one poster here said) knows what the homeless guy's backstory was.

It's quite possible the Hazmat guys did have keys- they were specifically hired to come and empty out the evidence room, after all. But even if they didn't, the one she shot last alluded to having talked to her earlier, so it's possible she left the door unlocked for him while in a different state of mind.

My guess:

When Loren tried to get out she unlocked the door. However the ghost prevented her from leaving or (in her mind) she thought she couldn't get out.

When the hazemat people got there they just walked in the unlocked door. The ghost had no reason to keep them out.

if i recall correctly when she decide to go wait in her squad car, she started leaving the front door unlocked
