I think the moral of the story is that the staff of the Sanford PD are wicked d*cks to leave a rookie in a knowingly haunted station on the one-year anniversary of the death of the guy who's haunting it. ALONE.

I wonder if there's more to her mom's part in it. Sounds like she was trying to warn Loren about something.
I mean, it's not like Loren started in the police yesterday. She must have gone through school. Mom would have had plenty of time to talk her out of it. In the beginning of the movie, is she trying to stop Loren from joining the police or specifically talk her out from going for a shift at the haunted station? Her lines live room for interpretation.

lol everyone is taking me way too seriously. im just saying at the beginning her mom did warn her because she was worried about her working her very first real shift. and she didnt listen and died. i thought it was funny cause parents are overprotective all the time. but in this case she really should have listened to her mom. i just being facetious/sarcastic.

"mother always knows best"

in this case she kinda did, eh? ;)

no, the moral of the story is that if *beep* starts flying around the room you get the fack outta there. You don't stick around . Stupid woman deserved everything she got at the end.

Seriously, as soon as that weird stuff happened, I'd be out of the building watching it from the outside. Eff staying in that haunted mess. She got the right idea, but she stupidly went back to answer the damn phone.

As moral of story is "Get out the the place as soon as possible" - and don't come back.
