Awesome Makeup FX and Suspense but Bad Ending

For a low budget film, Last Shift delivers big time on two levels - the make up effects for the demons (homage to Hellraiser) and the relentless suspense/horror. The whole movie from beginning to end is suspenseful which is a rarity these days.

Unfortunately, the closing moments of the film is a slap in the face to the audience. The ending ruins the movie. If there is a sequel, hopefully they can make the ending an "illusion" or something.

I thought the ending was fine, I took it as they pretty much made her go crazy and partially possessed her. I would've liked to see, after that guy calls for backup, her at the hospital and the doctors telling her she was suffering from ___ or the stress got to her or something, and then the dr leaves the room and she sees something that confirms that she's not crazy, like she see's what she saw in the holding cell, on the hospital TV or something like that. That would even work better if it turned out she wasn't shooting at anyone.

I didn't like the ending either . I thought she had fought too hard the whole night to end up like that.

I agree the ending was not satisfying, but I respect it.

The ending kind of ruined what was a great film, we invested in Jessica's plight and then her *beep* boss shoots her, why did he shoot to kill her? Why not shoot her in the leg or arm? The thought that Jessica is now trapped for eternity with the cultists leaves a bad taste in the mouth
