I think this is the whole point of the story

In the beginning it says "the following events take place over 6 years (a few parallel universes over).

At the end of the movie, he says that thing, "there are other universes where we end up together " bla bla .

So basically, I think the whole point is that in OUR universe, they ended up together.

yeah, this is the point if you're looking for closure

for me this isn't the point of the movie. the picture's a big larger than that, and it's beauty isn't about "did they? or didn't they?"

If the movie was only about "beauty" then they wouldn't have mentioned that in the beginning and end.. So
