COMET has the indie feel without the pretension.

Now, initially, I was thinking to myself “Psh, how is this any different than 500 Days of Summer?” In my defense, the leads look just like Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. While that film was on a level of near-pandering to the hipster crowd, specifically with Deschanel’s character quirks, Comet maintains its authenticity in a hip age where authenticity is often questioned. I think I can safely say this is the romance movie for modern hipsters without sounding condescending or infusing any negativity into the word. It’s modern and trendy without being fake. It’s got the indie feel without the pretension. It’s a welcome entry into the indie flick canon.
