Why do people watch this?

Just curious. I watch it just because I find it to be hysterical nonsense, and I like to laugh at it; like Veep, except Veep is actually trying to be funny. Is there anybody here who is actually absorbed by the storyline or the characters?

The story lines are passable fictions I think, but honestly its the clothes and some of the sets and a few of the men I just sit and drool over. Oliver is a joy to watch, I think that boy is a brilliant actor.

Been watching this hoping to get into it but struggling to follow this. Random weird acts happen can't seem to stay awake long enough as well...

It's an interesting story with interesting characters. And has the coolest portrayal of witchcraft ever showcased on television.

Why wouldn't people watch it? It's fantastic.

What about it is nonsense?
It's extremely well written.
The atmosphere is great. Its horror is more palpable than many horror movies.
And I personally love Mary's character and her storyline; The devil in her son is incredibly creepy.
Anne is also interesting to watch because she didn't choose to be a witch and i feel like she is going to be the one to finally put the devil back in his place.

I liked the first couple of seasons but this one not so much. I liked it cause it was dark without being too focused on soap opera like drama but this season it comes across as trying too hard for some reason. This is the lowest rated show on the network but since its only one of three I don't see cancellation happening but it's not very popular though it seems. This board and other fan boards are not very active for it to be in the middle of the season opposed to Underground and The Outsiders was during their seasons.
