than how were the essex witches able to use them to defeat him? just like he robbed mary of her powers why couldnt he do the same with them?
shareIts implied there are other powers besides god and the devil. I think nature itself can bestow powers to witches which is where the Essex witches get their power.
shareYep I believe it is season two and the Countess who says Satan and the Christian god aren't the only deities. The Native Americans have magic, they don't believe in or acknowledge the devil. I think there must be several various ways to be a witch in this show.
