...I never thought I'd ever say that, but I digress.......

Remember the frog that would suckle on the leg-nipple of Mary Sibley?

I was thinking about this scene from an earlier season and how strange American content standards are. Think about the self-imposed content standards that these TV channels put on themselves....

They can show boobs, as long as a nipple isn't exposed. And they can show a nipple as long as it's not on a breast. But they can't show a regular ol' breast that just so happens to have a normal human nipple.
What the hell is wrong here? It's like we've all gone to crazytown.

Many of the people that are familiar with the show will get this post, so I will post this in the General TV section to get an outsiders perspective. So you can check out those comments as well if you want.

I think it's the same criterion as showing nipples on male bodies but it's porn-like when nipples on female bodies are shown. Shows like GoT have got some heat trying to break down the boundary. I think it's an American thing that I don't fully understand. I've seen some European products without having qualms of showing topless women.

She was suckling her familiar, which according to various myths and testimonies from the Salem Witch Trials, is a nipple which appears anywhere on the body.

It is a third nipple which is designated for the familiar only, so the show is following that myth by having the third nipple somewhere else like Mary's leg, Anne's stomach, Tituba's neck etc

In that case, it is nothing to do with censorship.

yea, they're following the myth, but the rules mentioned above still apply none-the-less.
