Why the show was cancelled

You can see it coming after the first season. Females acted as females and did not assume male roles. The big bads were witches, Lucy Lawless, and so on, fought by the honorable and long-suffering men of the town.

Big media will not permit this portrayal of women to continue. Also, it shows whores as damaged people, can't have that. Observe most of the shows on teevee out there and compare the political correctness. It has no transgender or gay characters.

Too bad a great show now with Marilyn Manson.

Wonder how many of PC LEFT LIBERAL Cry Babies complained about the show?

Oh christ, You people and the liberals. I'm so sick of hearing about liberal this and liberal that, it's gotten old and sad. I don't think I know any liberals but why blame them for EVERYTHING? I doubt they're the "masterminds" behind the show being cancelled.

I hate that this show is ending but, jeez, (mostly) Republicans complaining and whining about those darn liberals. You sound like a bunch of tin foil hat enthusiasts listening to ham radios in the basement all day. Shut up, already.

this is the most stupid post i've seen on imdb.

reply

Um, no. It was cancelled for the usual reasons. Namely, it was poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly executed.

Terrible show. Won't miss it.

The writing, acting and directing were stellar. If it were on HBO or most any other network it would still be on.

lesser people watching = bad ratings = killed the show

I think the question is how far could they have taken it. At least it didn't end in modern day with Anne Hale being mayor or some other *beep* like that

Mary and Tituba had an implied lesbian relationship in season one. The show was cancelled because not enough people watched it. It had great scripts and actors, it was fun to watch. Not enough people knew it was special. And I do think if it had been on a bigger network like HBO, it would have run for several more seasons.
