I Just Saw This

It was much better than I thought it would be. I passed over watching this three times before. There were a few jump moments - 1 or 2. There was a really shocking moment; the last one with the sheriff. I didn't see that coming. It reminded me of the real Jedi mind-control.

The part up on the spaceship was totally unnecessary. It served no real purpose other than prolonging the movie and showing the audience was happened to those who were abducted. Kind of odd, but every other abductee was cocooned except for April, lol. Seth - one of April's friends - got the alien anal probe, which he died from. Stupid. At the very end, they showed some diplomat. They slowly trailed the camera to his face, as if it was supposed to be some big surprise who it was, like he'd been in the movie. Strange

Had they ended the movie when the ship floated away with Kyle, [/spoiler]I would've likely given it a 6-star rating. With that ending, it only gets a 5-star rating. I might revisit that, but it was pretty good for what it was, as was the acting. However, they could have easily cut 20 minutes off the movie...the LAST 20 minutes. Why they bothered to have Michael Ironside in it, I don't know. He was good but wasted in that silly, two-bit role.
