30 mins in. the "kids" (30 year olds playing people that just graduated) find what looks like a space ship. I understand they don't have cell reception, but why don't they get into the cars and leave? And then call 911 when the do get reception. So what if the police don't believe them.....at least they would be out of the area. dumb dumb kids.

ok.. 38 mins in they finally get in the car only to be thwarted by a downed tree. fricking drive around it! The stump was a whole two feet from the road....
at least I can say the movie is getting more exciting. Actually showing aliens is a twist for these movies

Okay -- but the too-familiar ET-type alien. Kinda flattens that twist. Anthropoid aliens are dull.
Compare, for example, the aliens designed by Geiger for the "Alien" series. They're more like insects or crustaceans, more interesting than ubiquitous anthropoids.
