This looks like a 'Fire In The Sky' remake?

Still gonna check it out though,
I hope it's not a 'Fire In The Sky' rip-off.

Looks like it to me, with revenge. :(

Not really. FITS was a very serious film that was based on a true story. It was mostly a drama with some horror/sci fi elements.
This looks more like a sci fi teen slasher type film.

There's a scene in this movie that's almost identical to Travis' abduction.

She melts in your mouth, she melts in your hands.

this definetly is not a remake, they stole a lot of things from fire in the sky, like the abduction scenes, stupid girl getting out of the car to look at the craft and is taken, inside the alien spaceship is also a lot similar to FITS but that movie was light years better than this..terrible terrible film

Fire In The Sky was an actual film with acting and a plot, this is however another popcorn garbage.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS! (although it's nothing that is not already widely talked about and are featured some what in the trailer).

while some of the scenes in this film have undoubtedly drawn inspiration from it's grey/alien themed predecessors - for example: the wake-up scene aboard the alien craft is very similar to it's equivalent in 'fire in the sky' when travis wakes up suspended in sticky stretchy goo, i wouldn't go as far as calling it a remake from the point of view that all of the grey/alien themed films i can think of are picking scenarios from the same origin. in this film however, it was just a series of age old ufo phenomena and abduction folk law rolled into a teen slasher. they clearly did not take the time to think through the point in any of them. why brand the kid only to blow out his anus seconds later?

I think having both mentioned and even compared to is a great disservice to Fire in the Sky. This is just another bad movie by sub-par directors who have been trying way too hard to be edgy and need to lift material in order to get some kind of reaction.

Honestly, the V/H/S abduction episode is miles ahead of this and it had less than half the run time.
