The part where Kyle is upset with Alice for rejecting him, and Alice claims that she doesn't believe in soul mates. We're all meant to be alone in the universe. And at that moment, the alien spacecraft crashes.
That reminded me of the moment in Cloverfield where Rob's big brother talks to him about Beth, and how his commitment to her will be tested. Then the monster attack begins.
