Better off dead... (mild spoiler)

When it looked like there would be a sole survivor I thought "S**t, it would be better off to be dead than have to explain how all this happened!"

So often in these or supernatural killer movies there is the one final survivor which we never see the fall out to. How does one person explain how five or more of their pals are dead or missing without telling the truth because the truth would never be believed? If out in the woods... bears I suppose. Bears got everyone, dragged off their bodies, and you were lucky not to have been caught. In a creepy old house, well, I suppose a gang of masked strangers raided the place and killed everyone but you. Would the cops believe either story?? And even if they did not arrest you there would always be a cloud of suspicion over you; certainly the relatives of the deceased would hound you and blame you forever.

So yeah, better off dead.
