An announcement like that combined with great cast, what could possibly go wrong?
The script! Or the plot. Or both.
I was haunted, but only by the fact that I had spent the time watching it.
Despite Vanessa Redgrave's best efforts, this movie lacked all of the soul of the book. It felt like an extreme rush job. So many characters got shortened.
I hope someone else tries to do another movie version of The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield in the future.

I enjoyed it, I was gripped (although not freaked out, particularly).
I haven't read the book but I plan to. I take it that the programme was not faithful to it?
