Zootopia among AFI top films of 2016!
This is a very RARE honor and Zootopia is also the ONLY animated film to make the top ten this year!

It deserves this honor. A truly great movie which excels in every area, IMHO.
"I'm the dude, playing a dude that's disguised as another dude".
Well deserved.
shareUtter nonsense. This film is a typical, lazy animal jokes film wrapped in an incredibly forced and phony message.
shareYup! It also just won two Golden Tomato Awards from Rotten Tomatoes also. One for best animated film and one for BEST FILM OVERALL! But hey, you keep telling yourself it sucks. ;)

So arbitrary awards are supposed to sway may opinion?
You do realize appealing to authority is a logical fallacy don't you?
Appealing to authority (for want of a better word) really is a fallacy when you're taking something subjective that this authority has said and are swinging it around like an objective truth.
To be clear, using the appeal to authority to simply name drop in an attempt to bolster your own subjective opinion it fine albeit pointless. To use it as OpinionsByLennon has repeatedly to try and discredit someone elses' differing subjective opinion as somehow objectively false is stupid and bordering on religious-type behavior.
No it simply means we as people put more stock in the authority than youYou're only acknowledging this "authority" because it agrees with you in this case. You take zero notice of poor reviews and ratings for films (and other things) you happen to like and you know it.
That is something I find hilarious people think a movie has to get by them in order for others to consider it great. We call this "projection", and will for as long as you're there strutting around like a cockerel thinking that before we're allowed to take any sort of issue with Zootopia, even if we actually liked it for the most part and say as much, then we have to go through you first.
No you got it completely wrong. I hate pulp fiction I do not like that film at all. However I openly acknowledge it being one of the most critically loved films of all time. I also acknowledge the average public loves it as well. You would never hear me dispute that or try and hide that fact. I never tell someone they can't praise it simply because I dislike it.
I do not care if you want to dislike Zootopia everyone is entitled to their opinion. The thing is though I put more stock in film critics than some pissed off person on imdb. I do not always agree with critics but on average I tend to agree more with them. So I will say it again others can consider a film great they do not need your approval. Just like how you do not need our approval to consider Zootopia a bad film.
And because you have a grounded opinion (or at least you say you do now that it's convenient to do so), all around you must remain silent even in the face of stupid asshats who are completely unable to understand nuance of any kind?
Because, and this really is what I'm getting at, if you can't ridicule a moronic fanboy who is insisting that no one be allowed to imply that Zootopia was imperfect in any way, what the hell is the point of even coming on to IMDB?
Take them to the security kitchen!

Never said that.Yeah but you were thinking it
What I was getting at is throwing around labels and insults is not going to get your point across.By throwing around labels and insults and whatnot. Even ignoring that, you do realise you have effectively taken sides in what can be very accurately but metaphorically summed up as a Cartman vs. Honey Boo-Boo 'Sketti Wrestling Contest, and no matter which side you take you're going to look bad.
Wow he really showcased how the movie sucked so bad didn't he? Those were not just labels he used at all.You should see the guy he was talking to. No, really, that guy has to read following with his finger and cries when a word has more than two syllables. Notions such as "presenting a case" and "logic" are far beyond him. Still a 'sketti wrestling contest, but maybe one can understand one side just a teeny bit...
The whole point of imdb is not simply to ridicule.I might have been speaking in jest, but perhaps should have realised that this is IMDB after all...

It's just simple childish arrogance and complacent attitudes played up to gain attention. This happens every single year a film is loved, does well at the box office, and wins awards. Same thing with Frozen, same thing with Inside Out last year. Their little feelings are just hurt because practically no one watched Kubo and the two strings other than them, and many that did outside of the niché crowd didn't like it; everyone else has already forgotten it was even such a thing.
Just ignore them man. They'll get tired of making jack-ass posts and making sock-puppet accounts with the sole purpose to give Zootopia one star ratings to try and bring score down sooner or latter. And regardless it doesn't much matter what they say anyway, it ain't going to change nothing! ;)
And FYI to the other user, because I know you'll read this also! I'm a middle aged adult, I own a business and I do pretty well for myself! I'm also very likely old enough to be your father! So if you honestly think throwing insults at me is going to upset me in any sort of way, dream on kiddo! :) Now go forth lad and tell the world just how baaaaaaad Zootopia is and how everyone else is wrong! I'm sure everyone unlike myself will just happily accept your opinions as being the ultimate authority!

Most people are going to believe the awards circuits and critics conciseness over some random smuck on the internet claiming that they are all wrong. But hey what ever keeps the razors at bay. :)
