BIG MONEY LOSER

$20 MILLION BUDGET...UNDER $6 MILLION BOX OFFICE...I RENTED IT (FREE COUPON)...GLAD I DID NOT PAY $12 AT THE LOCAL THEATER....ACTING GOOD BY HUSBAND AND WIFE CHARACTERS...THE REST....OK....BUT WHAT WAS THE POINT MAKING THE MOVIE?....DESTINED TO DIE AT THE BOX OFFICE LIKE THE THEME OF THE PRODUCERS?.....I SEE NO OTHER REASON....TWO MAIN ACTORS WILL GO ON TO SUCCESS...BUT THIS MOVIE...WILL BE FORGOTTEN...

The box office figure is only given up to a point. Add on foreign countries, pay per view on tv, dvd sales, rentals by Amazon and Netflix, Red Box, etc and you have a much higher figure.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

No way that adds up to over 40 million. I was surprised this movie flopped so badly despite the reviews. I thought it was hollow and the legal and financial parts were a joke. Big miss after All is Lost.

These types of Indie films dont get the high theater counts that the bigger profile films get. I dont think it was shown at many of the larger chain theaters like Regal and AMC.

They had a platformed roll out for this movie. However, despite widening its release, the movie was tanking so you cut your losses when you see that happening. Critics were salivating all over it and 24A spent money on marketing it, but I think word of mouth killed this movie.

We got the next Roger Ebert on our hands here! On point! The CAPS LOCK and sentence fragments really helped get your point across. I see the Chicago tribune contacting you in the near future.
