Not much else to say, what's the point of this film! "A couple tries to stay in business by playing by the rules." Yeah, THAT sounds interesting. Maybe change the leads to Joe Pesci and Marissa Tomei and it might be somewhat entertaining.

This film was like a starving man holding in his fart to keep his stomach full. Too reserved...completely forgettable. Anyway, if you make a film that takes place in 1981 NYC and name it "a most violent year", you better bring the *beep* violence!

sitting here watching this thinking the exact same thing. The title is "A Most Violent Year..." nah, parter. A better title is "The Life Of Some Dude In New York in 1981"

foxcatcher wasn't even as boring as this, I'm a huge kubrick fan so I doubt I have adhd

Well, lots of things happen, but it didn't really amount to a hill of beans. They were basically greedy 'pr%cks', trying to look like they play by the books, and FIN.

Agree 100%. I don't remember seeing such uneventful and boring film for awhile. Signing contracts, typing calculator, going to barber,... mostly stuff like that happened. Good acting won't save everything.
