I really loved this movie. A lot!

I'm not exactly sure what it is. Somehow, it felt like something was always happening. To me, it definitely wasn't slow or boring at any point. I think maybe I was just on board with its pace from the beginning and it was consistent, idk, but it worked for me. I was entranced by the performances, like absolutely amazed by the talent. I loved the plot, and I liked how it was realistic, it was like a real life story, and it was a story that felt like it was more than just these characters. I just loved it a lot. I think people should give it a second chance, going it to it not expecting a thriller, or Goodfellas gangster type movie or something that I think a lot of people were. It's probably my 2nd favorite 2014 movie after boyhood.

I agree. I liked this movie. It had an intelligent screenplay. I saw based on JC Chandor involvement. I loved Margin Call.

I liked this film a lot, too. I was a teenager in the eighties, growing up in the middle of thriving businessmen of the middle class.

The government was not as big as it is today. Hence, there was more freedom to make profits. Yet it was more dangerous for business owners. They made so much money so that the thugs were after them all the time.

Later the government grew much bigger, threw in more security, centrally planned everything, which in turn killed the profits.

Today, such nouveau riches en masse are only seen in China.

I agree totally, this was definitely not slow or boring at any time. Sure, it may seem so if you went into this film expecting an action film. That should just go to show people to go into every film not expecting anything, just be open and watch it unfold. The pace of this film was methodical, just as this man's approach was to trying to stay clean in a dirty business world. This film is all too real and it has too much integrity for many people as well, (Sad for them!). Some people believe it or not claim that nothing happens in this film, lmao. Obviously these people have watched too many dumbed down films to understand a real story anymore.

My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!! [Evil2]
