Not sanctioned by the NRA I presume.
Wasn't that how you're meant to adequately respond to bad guys packing guns, with good guys packing some more? This film seems to send all the wrong messages.

shareThe gun laws in New York and especially New York City are some of the strictest in the country. You could go to prison just for having a gun (handgun) without a permit.

The little gunfight in the movie was so laughably conceived that I could not believe it. There have been plenty of people using guns in very strict gun control states/cities that have been let off for using them in self defense, let alone in the circumstance of being robbed in the commission of their jobs. The character would of only garnered more sympathy having been robbed and beaten earlier. And their would of been enough political clout to keep him out of jail as the DA was obsessed with stopping the robberies.
