Abel's trip/fall during foot chase

Scripted or a real trip? I say real.

That was the slowest foot chase in movie history. This guy is a runner and he can't catch anybody. Anyways, it was a good trip. He's a good actor if that was on purpose.

He was wearing a suit and dress shoes, it's fantastic that he managed to catch up at all...

Yeah man, wtf? They show 2 or 3 scenes of him jogging before this chase and I thought it would pay off with him tackling the bigger robber guy, but he ends up simply getting on the same train about the same distance away as the initial distance at the overturned truck away. So stupid! No payoff whatsoever.
I thought maybe his jogging scenes would give him some tip as to the where and when of stealing other gas trucks, but no! No payoff to those scenes.

That's what I was wondering when I say it. To me it looked like he really tripped. If he did, then they left it in the movie to make the chase scene a little more realistic. It worked for me either way.
