50 minutes in and i'm still waitin for
something to happen. There's some trucks that keep "gettin hit" by an opposing company or mob i assume. Im certain if i hang in there it'll be revealed but the thing of it is...i dont care enough about the characters to stick around. I mean..if Issac's character is "connected and trying to get out" then show me something along the lines of what actvWAS IT tht made him change and NOT his wife doin their taxes for christ sakes! Also EVERYONE WAS SO MOROSE AND BROODING! I get it things prob aren't gonna go his way..but jesus...its supposed to be a 70s NY Mob Movie at least thats how it was marketed. Lets see some light banter instead of tellin the audience The Feds Are Gonna Look At The Books every 5 minutes! lol whoooo cares??!!? lol Such good talent wasted. Visually the film looks good but story wise...sorry folks its just boring. I say this lovin slow burn dramas and don't need Robots or Super Heroes tearing up a city to keep me riveted. Skip this and rewatch or enjoy for the first time: True Confessions, Sleepers, Mean Streets or one of my favs The ORIGINAL 1980 film GLORIA with Gina Rowlands! Great Mobster slowburn with engaging characters.
