I love how every audience member thinks...

I don't get the criticism because it's not like this is a confusing or weird movie. As soon as I realized there wasn't going to be any drama or adversity, I just appreciated it for what it was. If people don't think it's funny, entertaining or worth watching, that's fine...but I see so many people complaining because it's not exactly like every other movie they watch.

Linklater's been very good at making something out of nothing previously, but this movie was just painfully awful.

5. Boyhood

I love Linklater films. People talking about trash about his stuff were just expecting something different. His movies are like windows into the character's lives for a moment. People saying xyz aren't realistic or like typical characters (people complaining about jocks singing rappers delight) are just looking for something that imitates their own reality. His films are about showing what you would expect from a certain kind of person. They're about showing those characters lives. These characters happened to be this way. However unlikely you think these characters might be, they aren't impossible and this is a movie about them.

It's funny that you can love, laugh, AND get sick all over people's reaction to the film.

I find the average audience reaction quite funny too. Most people said Dazed was boring back when it came out as well, now it's become a total classic. Go figure. Some people take a long time to clue in, or maybe just never do. Whatever. This was a great film in my view, probably slightly better than Dazed (Even the critics liked this more than Dazed it seems.). I love how Linklater can subtly slip in so much intelligence into a film that many people think is literally about nothing at all, lol. The guy rocks.


My body's a cage, it's been used and abused...and I...LIKE IT!!

This movie was very entertaining. I find as long as you have a good cast and well written dialogue, the plot doesn't really matter.

I don't understand how some people could like Dazed and Confused but not like this movie.
