Lots of hate but I liked it

Yes, it has questionable acting and there's a number of long scenes of people just doing things with thoughtful music behind it, and countless shots of the spaceship to indicate passage of time.

But underneath it's a good tale of a group of people on a mission to try and find a planet for Earth's surviving population to migrate to. Plenty of issues along the way. The characters are not so well defined also, and the ones I came to care about were treated unfortunately.

I liked it but it's not something I'd watch again.

PS. The poster on here for it is not a very good one. The DVD case I got from the library has an actual space ship in space with a star, so got my attention immediately.
