So funny when the writer played by Jenkins (Spoilers)...
...gets beaten to death by the bar mob at the end. He just symbolizes all these city newspaper columnists like the late Mike Royko in Chicago who think they're one with the people, when they actually have no idea what their lives are like. Jenkins goes into the bar all smug and pally, and a few minutes later he's lying dead in a pool of blood in the street. Not meant to be hilarious, but it was.
