After all the guys John Wick has killed even the story about killing 3 dudes with a pencil, he couldn't handle Viggio who had a knife? Did he really have to stab himself just to get control of the knife?
shareHe was exhausted by that point and physically hurt whereas Viggo was fresh as a daisy. It's one of the things I like about this film, he's human and gets hurt, but gets by with sheer determination as well as skill.
shareYeah I suppose he was exhausted. He did go non stop from the time he buried his dog till the end. I just didn't think a novice fighter could hang with a super assassin.
shareWell the fight was over in a minute. I'm sure he could have got the knife away eventually without stabbing himself. I guess he wanted the fight over and done with...and maybe he's a bit of a masochist too. lol
shareStabbing himself was more like stressing the point "I am so determined to kill you, I will do it even if I have to die myself".
shareI think by that point Wick legitimately just didn't want to live anymore or didn't care, so it was kind of a "f--k it" moment.
