Marcus doesn't know that betraying the Russian is a bad idea?

HOw could he not expect that Viggo would come after him? And like Wick, he seems to have no concern for home security. If that is his own home where he is killed, it offers zero security. He could've had a steel door that tank would be needed to break thru. He didn't see the guy on the stoop as he was approaching, or the guys sitting in the car? He didn't react and kill them before they could get the drop on him? Really?

I just think he wasn't expecting to be betrayed by Perkins. I think there must be a code for assassins but she didn't follow it.

I have watched and wondered, Marcus took the initial contract. Why the change of heart? Was he going to go through with it until he saw Perkins sneaking into the room and decided to help?
