Sure we may suck once in a while - as we are now with 0-5 so far - and we only won 3 championships in our first hundred years (older than the NFL ladies and gents) BUT if you come to play for Saskatchewan you will be on one of the most loved, supported, and cheered for teams in the WORLD. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are the Yankees of the CFL. You either hate us or you absolutely LOVE us and live and breath us. When you wear the green you wear the greatest colour in our Canadian football nation!

Didn't they mean that Saskatchewan the place blows? Why would an egomaniac ex NFL player live there unless there were no other options?

I think they were ragging on Saskatchewan as a place to live, and not the team.

I posted about this, too. Made a comment about how western canada is INSANE about their CFL teams and that someone playing for them would actually probably enjoy themselves.

I'm an Ontarian, myself, but know not to mess with the CFL in the west!

Yes, I do admit, Saskatchewan in January and February, when it gets to -40 some days, does make you want to live somewhere else.

My dream life involves living in Saskatchewan from mid-May to late October, then spending the rest of the year, aka winter, down in New Orleans.

Yankees of the CFL as in you see their logo and colours every-bloody-where. Not comparing winning records. Three championships in a century makes us more like the Bo Sox.

Let's face it, any AMERICAN football player would rather be playing in the NFL than the CFL, and would rather live in SOUTH FLORIDA in the winter than SASKATCHEWAN where it's freezing all day and night. South Florida has perfect winter weather. Saskatchewan has bad winter weather even by Canadian standards.

To be honest i thought it was kinda cool that they even referenced the CFL. I know Rock had a cup of coffee in calgary (he mentions it a bit in his book), so he does have some knowledge of which he speaks.

And yes, I think that any CFL player would rather be in the NFL. No question.

His father is Canadian and Rock's eligible for Canadian citizenship if he ever wants it.

CFL is a bush league no matter how you look at it. Saskatchewan is a wasteland compared to Miami. The truth hurts sometimes.

Remember that The Rock played for the Stampeders .. so if anyone knows how bad it is to play in the CFL or heaven forbid the Riders he would know .. heck he was probably the one who came up with that line :)
