Was okay. but couldn't get past differences in physical attractiveness

A poor Jon Favreau is not going to receive affection from a wealthy Sophia Vergara. Also, is not going to bed a Scarlett Johansson.

Jon also cheated on Kristin Davis, who is a babe even in her 40s, in Couples Therapy.

Funny goofy looking guys sell tickets as do hot starlets. Putting them together is a tried and true formula.

That's what happens when fat middle aged men write scripts.

haha this is so true!

I was under the impression that she married for money and that's why she was wealthy. She got half of RDJ's money and half of his. But she still liked both of them. It happens.

Just how it is in television and movies. George Costanza is one of the ugliest guys in tv history, yet he was constantly sleeping with good looking women on Seinfeld.

I was thinking the same things, hah.

well, I think he's a good looking guy, despite being a bit on the chubby side.

I find most women prefer guys who are a bit more on the chubby side over guys who are lanky and gaunt in the face.

In any case, it's really not that much of a stretch to believe a critically acclaimed chef being married to a really attractive woman.

I think a lot of people in this thread haven't realised that women are attracted to success and obvious talent as much as money, good looks, and a 'good' personality. I also wouldn't underestimate the allure of a guy who simply stands out and is different.

I know a guy who is notoriously good with girls, and for as long as I have known him he has been poor, a stoner, short (5'6"), red-headed with a receding hairline since high school, and has a smile with a few missing teeth. But he is an artist. He is easily the best and most dedicated artist I have met personally, and on top of that, he is one of the most insightful and kindest people I have been lucky enough to befriend. He has never been afraid to share his opinions and stick up for people. He recently traveled to Cambodia to paint murals while living on a pittance.

Why do girls chase after strong-headed, ambitious men with talent and acclaim? This doesn't seem like a very difficult question to answer...

I started to watch this last night and couldn't help feeling the same way. Sure, maybe I'm bitter for being a fat guy that has tried and only failed many times, but there is no feasible way that Chef Casper would get a second glance from any of those people.

People can be optimistic as they want, but then you're living in a fantasy word. Call be negative, or realistic, but I bet that those who are suggesting this could happen, are not separating the actor from what the real person would be like. The dude is fat, has no tech knowledge, has okay looks, and is miserable in his life. No one would spend their time with this guy, certainly not an attractive actress, or the sexy hostess/bartender.

The world just doesn't work this way.
