...folks who profess to be Christians, yet go for books or movies that change the biblical narrative. Why wasn't the Bible enough for you?

If I want to know why professing Christians think this movie helps people to understand God, I'd have to ask the question on this board. Not everyone who's on the religion board has seen this movie.

Alright, I understand. Does the movie try to help people to undestand G-d? I've thought about adding it to my to-watch list, but didn't know if it was worth it.

Who said the Bible isn't enough? I'm really not getting your point here. If you don't mind, please clarify for me. Thanks.

But to share some thoughts I have regarding this movie...I think the writer attempted to give a valid perspective to explain why God allows for bad things to happen. God gave man FREE WILL and it wasn't Gods fault man chose to disobey, which resulted in sin, and the following consequences. The good news according to the Bible is that someday the curse will be lifted and there will be a "perfect" world order again, Paradise Regained, if you will. In the meantime, people have a lifetime to pursue truth and to find God's love as demonstrated through the death and resurrection of His only begotten son, Jesus.

I applaud this movie for attempting to get people to think, study, and ponder.
