They should be ashamed! (Family Grave/Deception)

Good grief! That entire episode features some of the worst acting I've ever seen. That red head guy in the first story couldn't act to save his life. He sounded like he was narrating for an episode of the Twilight Zone rather than actually telling his own paranormal experience. Everything about his body language and voice came off as entirely rehearsed. I swear, this episode has left me with such a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to watch another episode ever again.

Let's not forget about the last phony couple that buys a house without ever stepping foot into it. Then for some reason, the husband develops a peculiar VHS porn addiction while his wife is upstairs being strangled. Oddly enough, she doesn't tell her husband about the ghostly abuse, but decides to keep it to herself. I imagine she wore a scarf or two to cover up the bucket of bruises. Of course, the episode wraps up in a hilariously mundane fashion. I guess they are closer than ever since he beat his porn addiction and his wife isn't being hurled out of a window by angry spirits anymore. Fake! The bad acting and scenarios is just too much to ignore.

The previous episode was also atrocious. The lady who was supposedly 16 at the time when those two ghostly kids entered her house was poorly acted. She wasn't believable in the slightest. The reenactment of when her goofball friend said she was being paranoid for turning on the alarm system was beyond irritating. I guess she's used to having intruders come into her home anytime of the day. Get real! I want to like this show because the first season was actually pretty good, but now I think I'll pass. Why can't they make good shows like Unsolved Mysteries or Sightings anymore?!

In "The Secret Room," I was more than dubious because of the remark the narrator made about the house's being a mystery sale. In today's world of Internetz, nothing is a mystery about any property. Even before Internetz, one could easily go to the county courthouse and find out everything about a particular property parcel. There is just too much convenient ambiguity about this show.

The gene pool could use a little chlorine......
