Tired of the man-child

Yet another film glorifying the man-child who relies on his parents at the age of 40.
Doesn't anyone in this country want to grow up?

reply

Why would you want to grow up when your parents will do everything for you?

It's the same as saying "Hey, why should I fund a movie that I have all of the money for already when someone else can do it??"

i think you're going a bit far saying he relies on his parents for everything. he put the kids in a super expensive religeous school his dad wanted him to if his dad payed for it. that's the extent of his reliance on his parents. if anything i'd say he wasn't relying on his parents for anything.

He wasn't a provider you're right, it's sickening and unattractive.

It's not like he was just sitting at home being a sponge. He was doing what he thought he should do. Pursuing his life's ambition of becoming an actor, and if he made it, it would be providing for his family.

sure there comes a time in one's life where they have to say ok this isn't working but perhaps he still had faith. Not everyone has life's answers. and not everyone can do the 9 to 5er.

I also found it frustrating how he didn't have a real job and couldn't pay for things!
